It is a fact that London is now sourcing its IT creative staff from Sussex and Brighton and in particular for web design skills.
‘Sussex by the Sea’ as the traditional song goes has developed from Graham Green’s ‘Brighton Rock’ of the 1950s with its scandal and intrigue to the ‘Mods and Rockers’ of the 1960s, through the dodgems and discos of the 1970s to a thriving creative area through the 1980s & 1990s to the present day.
Sussex on the south coast and in particular Brighton has become hotbed for the creative industries and in particular IT. If you require a static website designed or an e-commerce website to sell products online then someone will fit the bill.
There is everyone from Epic Multi Media Group (EMG), Brighton's largest and most successful multiplatform multimedia group with clients include British Airways, Lloyds TSB and BT down to the stand alone freelancer such as myself offering a friendly local service for web design and related services.
Not only are the online creative skills available but also traditional branding and printed marketing. If you only require logo branding and stationery then there are a variety of options open to you from a local Sussex printer to a Brighton Design Agency or freelancer.

Brighton has a plethora of printers at hand for all needs. Here a couple I use regularly:
Brighton and Sussex has now become famous for its ‘Open Houses’ where individuals display their illustrations and crafts to the local population and day visitors. The participating artists range from amateur to professional including some local heroes such as iconic poster artist Simon Dixon: www.simondixon.net
