An Illustration overview

Illustration is my main skill set really but life doesn’t always take the path you expect. I did work as a freelance illustrator in London for 13 years working on clients such as Mars, Reebock and Air France to name a few. I had a great time illustrating in London but grew tired of the 3 month wait to get paid by the bigger agencies and the grinding tube journeys in summer.

I was an airbrush illustrator firstly and then learnt how to apply those skills on computers using Photoshop. Now prefer to paint acrylic on canvas and just do whatever subject matter I fancy. It’s much less stressful when you’re not being commissioned to do a piece.

I also like to sketch characters in the pubs of Hove or draw the scenery up on the local Sussex Downs. These are mainly done as colour pencil drawings although I’d like to have a bash at water colour some time. Time being the tricky bit!
